Message:
The CMLN PCN was due to a component EOL
which also affects the FL2 family. For that reason, we have also made the same
modifications to the FL2 family. The scope of the change is identical to the
CMLN PCN. There are no functional or performance changes with the camera. This
PCN will ONLY AFFECT customers who load their own firmware OR are on custom PN
(medical). Please share this PCN with your key
customers who purchase this product whom you believe may have a hard time
qualifying firmware. The call to action is as follows:
* Provide them with PCN.
* If customers request a sample
to test out prior to changeover, please indicate the schedule below.
AND ONLY IF they are extremely reluctant to
requalify firmware:
* Indicate our schedule as
listed below.
* Get their product volume
commitments by Sept 26. No exceptions.
Aug 22, 2018: PCN issued on website. Sept 7 FL2-03S2M/C-C and derived products
(custom) samples available. All other cameras TBD, but after Sept 7.
Sept 26, 2018: Customer must commit to
providing forecast should they choose to not accept new hardware.
Nov 2, 2018: Cutover date for all products
Sept 26, 2019 tentative last time ship of
all “old hardware product”(ie what customer is committing to on Sept 26, 2018).
